Kakarot 2020 is the fourth and final volume of Dragon Ball Z by Akira Toriyama. It was released in Japan on October 21, 2020 and comes with the cover pictured above. In this volume, we find Goku and his family having a rematch with the battle of Kami and Beerus coming up.
The story of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot 2020 can be summed up in two paragraphs. We start with Goku’s first meeting with a mysterious individual called the Red Ribbon Army. These guys are a group of soldiers that oppose the Saiyans. Goku ends up falling into their hands and ends up joining their ranks.
Goku then joins the forces against Goku’s friends who turn out to be criminals. Vegeta joins Goku’s mission as well and both go out to defeat the bad guys. It’s here that the series takes its unique approach to a battle between good and evil, making this volume one of the most popular of all the series.
The theme for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot 2020 is strength. It is even more significant in the anime version than it is in the manga. Because of the much more serious tone and message that the anime has, it is often overshadowed by the manga.
The theme of the new volume in Dragon Ball Z is about trust and leadership. For Goku, he is not actually capable of leading his own family alone. As much as it is good for him to be able to do so, that would mean leaving his fellow Saiyans behind to go fight.
The next battle in Dragon Ball Z comes when Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and the rest go back to Earthto find the rest of the Saiyans. To avoid losing them in the space race, they have to regroup in order to protect their home planet.
When it comes to the main storyline of Dragon Ball Z, there is no break from the space race. Goku becomes a father in this volume.
Now we get a chance to learn more about the new family member. Goku is not really a superhero. He has no super powers at all.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot 2020 is the fifth most popular arc of the series. It is followed by Majin Buu Saga and the Z-Fighters Saga. The last volume, The Demon King and His Wife – A Person of Treasure, is the final arc of the series.
This volume of Dragon Ball Z is not as good as the other volumes. They don’t come with the great fanfare that the manga usually does. It’s quite a disappointment for Dragon Ball fans and those who prefer a more lighthearted series.
So if you were looking forward to Dragon Ball Z, then you may want to think again. The latest installment of the series is pretty lame.
